We are seeking to recruit a Research Technician (Life Cycle Assessment) to work on the AquaSPICE H2020 research project (www.aquaspice.eu). The project aims at materializing circular water use in European Process Industries, fostering awareness in resource-efficiency and delivering compact solutions for industrial applications.
Working closely with the project team, including process industries and academics from several European countries, you will be responsible for developing the Life Cycle Assessment models for three of the project’s six Case Studies, collecting data, building the life cycle inventory and selecting an appropriate set of midpoint impact indicators. The modelling will be done using a commercially available LCA software. A Microsoft Excel toolkit will also have to be created to link the LCA models with a digital twin that is currently developed for each Case Study. You will also contribute to the preparation of the relevant deliverables and reports, as appropriate.
With a First Degree in Chemical Engineering (2:1 or above) or a relevant discipline, you will be a highly motivated researcher with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and have a good knowledge of, and experience in, programming and software development.
Informal enquiries are welcome to Dr Athanasios Angelis-Dimakis (a.angelisdimakis@hud.ac.uk)
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
