More than 400 million tonnes of paper are produced worldwide every year. Paper products are based on renewable raw materials and can be recycled several times. As a market leader in the construction of paper machines, the conservation of resources and the efficiency of our products and technologies are drivers for new developments.
Your tasks
- Get involved with the topic of “sustainability in the paper industry” – one of the most important future topics of Voith Paper.
- Support the R&D department in researching the effects and opportunities of closed water cycles in the paper mill.
- Expand and complete a system simulation model of the water cycle and carry out parameter investigations.
- Document and communicate your findings and make recommendations on further investigation and development steps.
- Willingness for occasional day trips to colleagues (m/f/d) at our locations in Ravensburg and Munich as well as to customers.
Your profile
- Enrolled student (m/f/d) of an engineering or natural science degree programme, with a focus on hydrochemistry, process engineering, environmental or paper technology and interested in a compulsory internship or writing a thesis.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and interest in modelling and/or programming; initial experience in these areas is a plus.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills are a prerequisite.
- Ability to analyse, enjoy cross-functional cooperation and communication in teams as well as proactive and conscientious working style.
- Passion for sustainability and resource conservation and enjoy developing creative solutions.
