Key Duties and Accountabilities:
• Lead and coordinate the team managing water entitlement dealings and access to water from the Toowoomba centre.
• Implementation of operational plans and monitoring and reporting against agreed targets.
• Oversight team outputs, including reports and correspondence, to ensure quality outcomes, sound conclusions and consistent application of water management policy and legislation.
• Interpretation and application of relevant legislation, including the ability to identify solutions to complex issues in a regulatory environment.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of policy, standards, practices and procedures to support organisational directions.
• Provision of excellent client service within agreed client service standards.
• Identify opportunities for and promote continuous quality improvement and innovation.
• Represent the department and consult, liaise and negotiate with community, stakeholders, clients and other agencies on the management and use of water resources and the delivery of the department’s broader program of activities as required.
• Ensure the team operate in a safe and enjoyable working environment and promote a culture of service delivery, leadership and high performance that recognises the unique contribution of the individual, encourages personal and team development, and encourages an appropriate work/life balance.
• Other duties as directed and required.
