Our Water Group is currently seeking to appoint a Senior Modeller to join the floodplain management team. NSW is implementing a large reform package that manages flood flow connectivity to improve the environmental health of floodplains, Aboriginal cultural assets, and increase awareness of risk to life and property.

About You

In this role you will be working within a small technical team responsible for assessing the impact of existing and potential future floodplain infrastructure using hydraulic, spatial and ecological disciplines. As a senior modeller, you will project plan, manage and coordinate investigations and analysis to create hydraulic models, which will contribute to the development of floodplain management plans and assesses the impact of various floodplain structures. You will have demonstrated capabilities in working on complex and time sensitive projects, communicating results to a variety of audiences, and be able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Technical expertise in developing and analysing hydraulic models, and other hydrologic analysis techniques.
  • Demonstrated communication and project management skills for the delivery of a comprehensive program of assessments, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Confidence to engage and support your peers by ensuring the delivery of professional, innovative, accurate and responsive strategic solutions to support project outcomes.
