Project and Field Coordinator

Consortium for DEWATS Dissemination (CDD) India is looking to hire a self-motivated and results-driven Project Field Coordinator in Maharashtra region, who will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager at main office in Bangalore.

In 2005 CDD was formally established as a society. Beyond the member organisations, CDD actively collaborates with organisations across domains – including National, State & Local Governments, INGOs, local NGOs, and corporate partners to scale up sustainable water and sanitation solutions.

We aim to accomplish our purpose by developing contextualised, decentralised and resilient nature-based solutions through adoption of systems approach. Nature Based Systems (NBS) are inherently low on life cycle costs, carbon footprint and circular in character.

The Candidate

Job Title – Project and Field Coordinator for CDD India

Job Location | Project Sites in Maharashtra

Qualifications, Experience and Eligibility 

Post graduate degree in Masters in Social Work, Social Sciences or Business Administration. BE in civil or environmental engineering is a good to have. At least 3-5 years in planning and coordination activities, implementation management of civil/infrastructure for environmental projects within water and sanitation sector. Demonstrated experience of community work and interaction, need assessment, program implementation on ground. WASH, engineering services, infrastructure, non-government and non-profit sector experience is preferred. Willing to travel and be stationed on project site for medium to long term durations.

  1. Team player with excellent communication, public speaking, influencing, negotiating skills.
  2. Self-motivated with an ability to work with multiple teams on the field.
  3. Spoken Marathi is a must to have.

Age Profile: 28-35 years

Job Responsibilities

The person shall be responsible for supporting the Programs team in the following domains/areas;

Project/Field Coordination

  • Proactive, resourceful, and dedicated to advancing good sanitation practices and raising the standard of living.
  • Project scheduling and vendor management.
  • Plan, coordinate and implement community mobilization activities related to the project in their assigned area.
  • Work closely with the project team, government officials, and local communities to ensure that the project is carried out effectively.

Monitoring and evaluation

  • Monitoring and evaluating the progress of the project in their assigned area.
  • Collect data, analyze it, and report on the project’s success to the project team and stakeholders.

Facilitating community participation

  • Engage with community in order to guarantee the local community’s active involvement in the project.
  • Inform and urge the community about the significance of good sanitation practices, and to take responsibility for impact.

Capacity building

  • Enhance the local stakeholder’s capacity to support project operations over the long term.
  • Identify need and conduct training sessions, workshops, and other activities that build capacity.

Liaison with stakeholders

  • Communicate with various stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, Corporate partner and other organizations
  • Ensure smooth coordination and cooperation of all the above stakeholders as per the requirement of the project for successful completion
  • Supporting the head office team as per the guidance of the concerned Programs team.

Reporting and documentation

  • Maintain detailed records of all project activities, including information on the number of villages designated as model villages, the projects development, and any conflicts arising during project implementation.
  • Reporting back to the head office on a continuous basis.
  • Prepare reports and other documentation as required.

Compensation:

  • Industry compatible and in accordance with relevant experience and qualifications.
