Job description:

The purpose of the role is to provide technical support for water management focused monitoring, analysis and reporting on the water resources of Tasmania and to ensure the effective collection and archiving of water resource data. The position provides technical input into the planning and implementation of surface water quality, river health and groundwater user monitoring programs. The position supports both the Tasmanian River Health Advisory Project and the Groundwater Assessment Project.

Hours per fortnight

73.50 (minimum 58.80 hours, by negotiation).

Period of Appointment

For 3 years.

Duties

Essential Requirements

  • A current motor vehicle driver’s licence.

Desirable Requirements

  • A Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Applied Science, or equivalent level, relevant to the nature of the work to be undertaken, as provided by either a university, a vocational education organisation or a registered and accredited training provider.
  • Ability to swim.
  • A current First Aid certificate.
  • 4WD experience.
