About The Role
Do you have a passion for protecting our freshwater ecosystems? Are you a dedicated scientist with a love for data analysis and problem-solving? We are seeking an experienced Water Quality Scientist to join our Freshwater Consultancy Division!
As a member of our water quality team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects. From monitoring and analysing water and sediment quality to assessing the impact of overflows and discharges, you’ll be at the forefront of solving complex environmental problems. You’ll also have the chance to provide innovative solutions to clients in the water and energy industries and infrastructure development sectors.
In this role, you’ll be leading or providing senior-level technical input on a range of projects. You’ll deliver water quality monitoring programs, analyse data, and produce high-quality scientific reports. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the consultancy process, from winning new projects to delivering successful outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- BSc or MSc degree in a relevant subject and at least three to four years’ professional experience in freshwater environmental water quality work.
- Knowledge of policy, legislation and issues relating to water quality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in delivering projects within commercial consultancy, industry or regulatory environment.
- A valid driving licence
