ISF is offering a PhD scholarship for a domestic researcher to investigate how circular economy ideas can drive inclusive, climate resilient water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services. The PhD is linked to ISF’s CIRCLE WASH research project (CIRcularity for CLimate-resilient and Equitable WASH), supported by DFAT Water for Women Fund.
The research will be co-designed with the successful candidate. The candidate will have opportunity to travel and collaborate with an international team of experts in Australia, Vietnam and Kiribati.
The candidate will work closely with ISF’s International Development team, with opportunities for casual project work alongside their studies.
The scholarship amount is $32,500 per annum, with project top of $5,000 per annum. Additionally, ISF provides a generous professional development and training allocation of $9,500 to PhD students to cover costs during their degree. This project also includes a budget of $10,000 for travel and related field work.
