The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our growing water business.  You will be part of a diverse collaborative team responsible for the successful delivery of our project and programme management commissions throughout the infrastructure lifecycle for major clients including Water Companies, Ofwat, Defra, Environment Agency and others.

The role of an Associate will be to drive, challenge and successfully deliver complex strategic and operational water projects using best practice PPM knowledge and advisory skills.  Your typical activities will include generating new work and delivering against business plans & being the day-to-day project manager on complex or high-risk infrastructure projects and programmes.

In addition to the wide range of technical specialists and designers, PPM works closely with other Arup client advisory teams across the UK providing a range of services including strategy & insight, finance & economics, and assets & operations. There is also the potential to lead and support projects in other infrastructure sectors such as energy, rail and aviation.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking to speak to individuals who:

  • Have experience working in the water sector leading & managing complex high risk projects / programmes.
  • Are chartered within a relevant discipline, ideally Project and Programme Management e.g., AMP PPQ, ChPP

You will also be able to demonstrate experience one or more of the following areas;

  • Leading a programme to deliver digitally enabled change
  • Leading the delivery or development of advisory services for clients
  • Framework management experience
  • Responsible for delivering projects incorporating sustainable development outcomes
  • Experience in managing a team of water specialists to deliver work across AMP Cycle opportunities.
