At APEM, we have been experts in freshwater biology for many years. As a Senior Freshwater Consultant, you will play a vital role in our Freshwater Biology Consultancy division, where we deliver cutting-edge collection, analysis and interpretation of freshwater hydro-ecology data. Our team is passionate about using hydro-ecological data to provide our clients with evidence-based solutions that balance environmental and anthropogenic needs for water.
As a Senior Freshwater Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and providing senior level hydroecology technical input to a wide range of projects. You will deliver large scale environmental monitoring programmes, data analysis and technical reports, while also providing aquatic science consultancy services to clients. From bringing in new projects to producing high-quality scientific report outputs, you will be involved in all aspects of the consultancy process.
To be successful you will need:
- BSc or MSc degree in a relevant subject and at least 3-4 years’ professional experience in freshwater environmental work.
- Knowledge of policy, legislation and issues relating to freshwater ecosystems or water resources.
- Excellent communication and report writing skills.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in delivering projects within commercial consultancy, industry or regulatory environment.
- A valid driving licence.
