This is an exciting opportunity to join WSUP Bangladesh in the role of WASH Engineer to help design appropriate WASH technologies for our projects in Bangladesh, a densely populated and climate vulnerable country that requires innovative approaches to WASH, as the traditional WASH infrastructure solution may not be feasible for different geographical contexts.
The WASH Engineer is responsible for the planning and design of climate resilient water & sanitation infrastructure to ensure access of safe water & sanitation to low income urban communities in Bangladesh. S/he is responsible for building the technical capacity of partners.
Working in close collaboration with the municipality, City Corporation, WASA & others, the WASH Engineer will ensure the quality of the construction through monitoring of the work and taking appropriate corrective measures. S/he will maintain a professional working relationship with all relevant stakeholders in order to ensure efficient delivery of the programme.
In addition, the WASH Engineer will liaise with service providing agencies to gain their support for the smooth implementation of climate resilient WASH infrastructures.
