Michael Baker International’s Water Group provides innovative consulting, planning and engineering solutions for the entire spectrum of the water cycle. We have proven experience in providing a full range of professional services from scientific and technical analysis, concept through design, and construction support services. Protection and management of water resources starts at the watershed level and follows the movement of water through urban and agricultural areas, streams, lakes and reservoirs, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and water/wastewater treatment plants.
The successful candidate will collaborate and work within multi-disciplined teams for the engineering and design of water and wastewater pump stations, pipelines, storage tanks, and treatment facilities.
Required Skills & Required Experience:
Specific experience preparing reports and design plans and specifications for municipal water and wastewater system projects in South Carolina or North Carolina, including pump stations, tanks, and/or treatment facilities.
Experience and ability to mentor design production in Autodesk Civil 3D.
Experience with hydraulic modeling including experience with InfoWater, WaterCAD and SewerCAD preferred.
Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other engineering and support disciplines.
Experience interfacing with clients.
Proven strong verbal and written communication skills.
Willingness to travel, as some travel may be required.
5-15+ years of experience in water / wastewater engineering, planning, modeling, and design
Professional Engineering License in North or South Carolina or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
Experience managing projects successfully from start to finish.
Skilled at negotiating and developing relationships with owners and subcontractors.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team; supervisory experience.
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for the work and industry a must.
