NRAS is seeking to fill a Natural Resource Scientist position located in Olympia, WA. As a Natural Resource Scientist, you will have an essential role in researching the impacts of pesticides on surface water and groundwater throughout the state. In coordination with other NRAS scientists, you will lead the surface water monitoring program in Western Washington and contribute to all pesticides in water quality projects in NRAS. You will also support the lead of the groundwater monitoring program with data analysis and publications. These programs are all key to reducing pesticide exposure to people and the environment. The Natural Resource Scientist position is uniquely situated to contribute to all phases of NRAS’s pesticides in water quality monitoring program. This includes planning and conducting field sampling, data analysis and quality control, reporting results, and collaborating with partners at the local, state, and federal levels.
