Activity Description:
The overall purpose of the South Caucasus Regional Water Management Activity will be to support effective transboundary cooperation and water management among Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia. The Activity will work to fulfill this purpose through six complementary intermediate results to achieve these four objectives:
· Transboundary environmental and water management networks developed at various levels across the South Caucasus
· South Caucasus stakeholders take a harmonized approach to transboundary water governance
· Communities incentivized by introducing new technologies, approaches, and economic models to rationally use water in a manner that demonstrates the benefits of improved water resource utilization across boundaries
· Responding to emerging opportunities for regional environmental cooperation.
Deloitte is seeking Chiefs of Party and regional water management specialists based in Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia to join our proposal team. Applicants should be mid- to senior-level experts with experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
· Transboundary Water Governance
· Water Resource Management
· Conflict Mitigation
· Political Economic Analysis
· Data Management and Visualization
· Grants Management
· Climate Resilience
· Gender and Inclusion Development
· Monitoring and Evaluation
Open Positions:
· Chief of Party (COP)
· Regional Water Management Specialists
General Qualifications and Expectation Sought Across Technical Positions:
· Degree in international development, climate resilience, South Caucasus, or another relevant field. Advanced degree preferred.
– Relevant experience accepted in lieu of advanced degree
· 5+ years of exceptional experience working in the water sector, international water resource management, South Caucasus sector systems and governance, or water supply and sanitation services
· Demonstrates a record of successful performance in at least one of the technical areas listed above
· Experience leading or working as a USAID or other donor-funded teams is a plus
· Additionally, experience working in and around Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia is highly encouraged.
Proficiency in English is required, proficiency in either of these languages Azerbaijani, Armenian, or Georgian is desirable.
Location:
Candidates will be based locally in project offices throughout Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Georgia, as appropriate.
