The Opportunity

Shelter and WASH Coordinator aims to conduct infrastructure damage need assessment, prepare feasibility reports to establish temporary and semi-permanent structures, develop the bill of quantity (BOQ), cost estimate and monitor checklist etc. Shelter and WASH Coordinator needs to ensue existing national WASH policies and guidelines, Sphere standard, SCI Construction policy etc are considered while implementing any WASH and Shelter activities.  
In order to be successful you will bring/have: 

•    Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or Architecture or public health
•    At least 3 years of professional NGO experience in the WASH, Shelter and Construction field
•    Fluent in English and Turkish languages 
•    High level computer  skills (Ms Office, CAD)
•    Experience of site supervision and project management for construction
•    Proven ability to influence change at an operational and strategic level

•    Knowledge of Arabic
•    Experience of designing / leading emergency shelter responses.
•    Demonstrated ability to set up learning and development processes for a large team
•    Experience of senior level representation, including coordination at national, WG or govt level
•    Strong interpersonal skills and experience of mentoring and coaching staff to achieve their goals
•    Advise on international best practice for building regulations for hazard resistance in non-engineered buildings.

Position holder will be based in Gaziantep, therefore legal right to work in Turkey is necessary at the time of application.
