Job Description | The Urban Forest Ecosystems Lab in the Department of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences at Tennessee State University (TSU) is seeking a highly motivated and productive candidate for the position of Post-doctoral Researcher. This is a 12-month, full-time position with the possibility of an extension depending on job performance and funding availability. This position is designed to lead a U.S. Forest Service-funded project on Urban Forests, Extreme Climate, and Urban Watersheds in the South. The selected candidate will work closely with a diverse and multidisciplinary team consisting of researchers/experts in the areas of urban forestry, hydrology, biology, meteorology, ecology, and social science from TSU and the U.S. Forest Service (including Southern Research Station and Northern Research Station – NYC Urban Field Station). The expected responsibilities include leading and implementing the project, preparing project reports, publishing peer-reviewed articles and disseminating project findings to a broad audience, mentoring graduate and undergraduate and graduate students on the project where appropriate, and assisting with other relevant project tasks assigned by the project team when needed. |
