Local recruitment: Water Withdrawal Compliance Coordinator

The Department of Environmental Quality, Water Permitting Division, Office of Water Compliance seeks a highly qualified candidate to determine compliance with the Commonwealth’s Groundwater and Surface Water Withdrawal Permitting Programs in accordance with the Groundwater Management Act of 1992, Groundwater Withdrawal Regulations, State Water Control Law, and the surface water withdrawal requirements of the VWP Permit Program Regulations. To complete compliance reviews, track compliance actions, and recommend enforcement actions when necessary of permitted facilities. To provide assistance in the development and implementation of the Office of Water Compliance’s policies and procedures and provide regulatory recommendations to meet the requirements of the Groundwater and Surface Water Permitting Programs. To provide coordination and technical support to Regional Office staff and permit writers as appropriate.
