Offer Description
This position is to work in the Polisocial Award project“NBSouth_Nature-Based Solutions via retroffiting for Climate Adaptation:a case in the Global South”. The project aims to investigate the potentialof nature-based solutions (NBS) for inclusive adaptation to climate changein retrofitting highly urbanised and dense urban areas, focusing onconditions of water stress and the urban heat island effect, with a casestudy in Brazil. While research on NBS have reached a significant level ofadvancement, most of it has concentrated in developed countries. Theproject will provide advancements in NBS research through co-creatingsolutions with the Global South which articulate socio-economicdevelopment and environmental and ecological resilience.
