COME AND WORK WITH US IN OUR CIVIL DIVISION

Within the Civil division, five departments work with urban development and infrastructure. The projects vary from early stages and investigations to multidisciplinary design, construction documentation, and construction support. The division includes project managers, landscape architects, traffic planners, water/land/road and railway designers, geotechnicians, bridge designers, risk analysts, air, climate, and sustainability specialists, environmental engineers, hydrogeologists, construction managers, and more.

We have good cohesion and spread within experience as well as competence and age. This allows you to further develop your skills, exciting assignments, a good atmosphere, and a varied and challenging everyday work life. Our experts have a multidisciplinary perspective and work closely together within the department. A large part of our assignments is carried out together with other units within COWI nationally and internationally, to make use of the world-leading knowledge that COWI possesses in the area.

To succeed in this position, we believe that you should be a team player with good communication skills, be curious and be good at building and maintaining relations. 

On a day-to-day basis, depending on your profile you will mainly work with conducting hydrogeological investigations which consist of fieldwork, water sampling, data analysis and writing hydrogeological reports. Or working with environmental investigations, including field sampling of soil and water performing risk analysis and conducting environmental control plans in both small and large projects. 

Furthermore, you must:

  • Hold a degree – BSc/BEng or MSc/Meng in Civil Engineering within the field of hydrogeology, geology, environmental science or similar
  • Have demonstrated proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
