Our graduate GROW programme is a three-year accelerated learning programme that focuses on professional chartership. As a GROW graduate you will play an active part in driving your career development and will be exposed to a variety of projects across the business. Technical experience is key in our sector, which is why we will provide you with a clear framework to work towards chartership. You’ll benefit from structured training, mentoring, plus funding and support for accreditations relevant to your programme, as well as the assistance you need to develop and succeed.

At Arcadis our mission is to improve quality of life for everyone. To do this we need your experience, your imagination, your passion, and your ambition. We need your ability to think differently and willingness to challenge the way we do things. Our success is driven by passionate and innovative people who sit at the very heart of our business, and our graduates are fundamental to this success.

The Specialist & Scientists GROW Programme

Our Specialists and Scientists work within our Resilience business area which is focused on projects concerned with protecting our environment and water resources and powering our world for future generations. For those joining this programme you will specialise from day one in your chosen discipline. During the 3-year Graduate Programme you will learn about different value propositions within the sector, for instance sustainability, land management, clients and pursuits and development services.

Working in teams of consultants you’ll be responsible for your own deliverables, liaising with clients, and given every opportunity to build your skillsets. Working with multi-disciplined teams you’ll also develop core consulting techniques and tools to apply whilst working with our clients in the UK.

You’ll be required to work on a range of environmental projects including major infrastructure, heavy industry and urban regeneration projects that will expose you to a variety of challenges and technical specialists. As part of this, you’ll assist in the delivery of project-related tasks to meet budget, timeframe and quality targets as well as working as part of wider project teams undertaking environmental desk studies, site surveys and assisting with the delivery of technical assessments and reports.

Hydrogeology – As part of the multi-award-winning Site Evaluation & Restoration team you will undertake a range of tasks on major engineering structures, water resources and contaminated land projects to assess the impacts of groundwater. The hydrogeology team provides environmental impact assessments, groundwater modelling, dewatering assessments, abstraction appraisals (including pumping tests), contaminant migration assessments and ground-source heating investigations.  The team is integrated within both engineering and environmental disciplines across the Arcadis service capability. As a graduate you will work as part of the project teams and undertake site visits, occasional site supervision, desk-based research and report writing.
