Scope of Work:
· The purpose of the roster for consultants is to to develop a list of free-lancing consultants in different categories under the specialty of water.
· Interpret data and utilize results;
· Develop and implement data analyses;
· Identify, analyze, and interpret data trends;
· This position does not authorize/require the consultant to directly communicate with Water Consults clients;
· This position does not authorize/require the consultant to have decision making authority on final work product;
· While working on proposals with Water Consults, the consultant is prohibited from working on that same proposal with any other organization.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Ability to support formative research in order to develop country- and sector specific data collection tools;
· Ability to interpret data and utilize results;
· Ability to develop and implement data analyses;
· Ability to identify, analyze, and interpret data trends.
Minimum Requirements:
· Expertise in water engineering / integrated water resource management / water policy and regulation / etc
· Expertise in quantitative and qualitative research (i.e. Stata, Nvivo, MaxQDA, etc.);
· 5 or more years of experience with data and research analysis;
· 5 or more years of experience working on international projects in their field of expertise;
· Demonstrated experience summarizing and sharing the results of data analysis;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Proficiency in English in addition to at least one other UN language is highly preferred.
Education:
Consultants must hold at least a Bachelors Degree in their field of expertise (water engineering, hydrology, etc) . A MSc in Water and Environmental Engineering and Management or any related field will be an asset.
Supervisory Responsibility: This position may has no supervisory responsibilities.
Travel: This position may require international travel depending on awarded contracts.
