Salary (Grade R1): Pro rata of ÂŁ31,411- ÂŁ42,155 per annum plus pro rata of ÂŁ2,166 per annum London Weighting

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join the Water & Environmental Engineering group in Brunel University London.  

The post is an exciting opportunity for talented and experienced individuals to work within a large multidisciplinary research environment in collaboration with a large consortium including 16 academic and business partners from Europe.  

The successful candidates will work on a wide portfolio of research projects focusing on the development of ecological risk assessment models, evaluating risk mitigation of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) in relation to the ecosystem services. The candidate will assess the economic impacts of the proposed solutions through integration of market and non-market valuation methods. Another activity includes assessment of the understand social impact through stakeholders’ analysis and social Life Cycle Impact Assessment (s-LCA) and drive citizen engagement to improve public opinion of NBS systems. The research will contribute to the improvement of the effectiveness, sustainability, circularity and cost-efficiency of bioremediation and revitalisation strategies for soils, sediments, surface water and groundwater. The position requires strong engineering, modelling and analytical skills supported by evidence of your previous activities and responsibilities. MSc and above in one or a combination of Environmental Engineering, Water Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Environmental Sciences.
