Are you an International Affairs, Engineering, Environmental Science Student? We have a great part-time, employment opportunity this spring!
The American Water Works Association (AWWA), located in Denver, CO is a nonprofit association whose work supports our vision of “A Better World Through Better Water.” You’ll have the opportunity to support AWWA’s international activities and conduct research, focused primarily on our partners in South Korea and India. Position is part-time (~10hours/week) for approximately 6 months with hybrid schedule available. Do work that makes a difference every day!
The selected candidate will support the following AWWA International activities:
- Collaborate with Senior Manager- International Programs on ways to add value to international attendees at AWWA annual conference (June 2023).
- Assist with expansion of Korean Water partnership strategy.
- Assist with activities associated with AWWAIndia Association to include membership, annual meeting, articles, website, and other associated activities.
- Monitor and follow-up with water sector leaders, as needed, on status of content review and associated timelines relative to Water and Wastewater India manual.
- Help develop areas of competitive advantage to formulate growth strategies in a particular country or program.
Qualifications
- Student pursuing International Affairs, Engineering, or Environmental Science degree preferred. Undergraduate who has completed at least their junior year will also be considered
- Understanding of water industry practices, challenges, or emerging issues and/or international business
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office business applications
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bilingual a plus (English/Korean or Hindi)
Pay is $23 – $24 / hour depending on qualifications. Hybrid schedule available with company laptop provided.
