Position Details

The Water Accounting and Reporting team role is required to prepare weekly, monthly and annual water related reporting material for print and web publications. The role is also responsible for the day-to-day project management and composition of the annual Victorian Water Accounts. It involves collaboration with subject matter experts and data providers to ensure that water reports produced are done so in a timely manner with a quality focus.

The Market Operation and Information role supports public facing information and operational activities that allow the water markets in Victoria to operate. The Market Operations and Information team is responsible for ensuring market participants have equitable access to water markets and transparent information. The position works across the Water and Catchments Group, with water corporations and external stakeholders to improve how retail water entitlements are defined, managed, traded and reported on, particularly at a whole of system scale. 

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • An appropriate tertiary qualification in engineering, science, natural resource management, or equivalent.
  • A background in conceptual and analytical thinking, especially in a numerate or data driven discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in report preparation and publication for both print and website reporting.

There are 2 fixed term positions available for a period of 3 years. The work location for these positions is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
