WWF Sweden is hiring a Water Stewardship Project Leader to our Finance and Corporate Engagement

WWF is now looking for a role to support our work on water stewardship. The global water crisis affects us all, including the private sector. Water Stewardship is about companies understanding the risks of water scarcity and pollution and taking measures to ensure that water is managed sustainably as a common, public resource.

Role description:

The Water Stewardship Manager will work together with WWFs Water Stewardship Senior Manager with the delivery of WWF Sweden’s Water Stewardship Program in alignment with WWF global Freshwater Practice strategy and approaches.

The tasks include:

  • Conducting Water Risk assessments using WWFs Water Risk Filter
  • Developing strategic plans for water stewardship corporate partners
  • Monitoring and evaluating partnership progress
  • Assisting in the development of a water stewardship strategy for WWF Sweden

Skills and Experience requirements:

Required

  • Good knowledge on freshwater ecosystems
  • Excellent data analysis skills
  • Experience with strategic corporate sustainability work on water
  • Ability to work with complex and interrelated workstreams/tasks

Not required but advantageous

  • Previous experience with corporate partners is highly meritorious
  • Industry and Sectoral knowledge on textiles, pharmaceuticals, paper & pulp, food & beverages and/or any associated value chains to these sectors is highly meritorious
  • Experience working with global nonprofit organizations
