improving safety in agriculture, food and environment-SAFE’ project, which proposes
innovative solutions aimed at increasing the quality of wastewater for irrigation, with the
aim to having a good and safe agricultural product. This involves the purification and reuse
of water by adsorption of contaminants on new, suitably modified and nano dimensioned
natural composite materials, combined with new energy-efficient photocatalytic methods.
The aim is to study, and test on a pilot level, innovative filtration technologies with natural
substances and oxidation for the purification of secondary effluents at low cost.
