Offer Description
The research project is part of the PRIMA 2021 – ‘Sustainable water reuse practices
improving safety in agriculture, food and environment-SAFE’ project, which proposes
innovative solutions aimed at increasing the quality of wastewater for irrigation, with the
aim to having a good and safe agricultural product. This involves the purification and reuse
of water by adsorption of contaminants on new, suitably modified and nano dimensioned
natural composite materials, combined with new energy-efficient photocatalytic methods.
The aim is to study, and test on a pilot level, innovative filtration technologies with natural
substances and oxidation for the purification of secondary effluents at low cost.

Eligibility criteria
Degree in Chemistry, Agricultural Science and Technology or Environmental Science (old
system), or Degree / Master Degree in the class of second degrees CLS-62 / S 77 / S
obtained at an Italian university or qualifications from abroad to recognized as equivalent to Italian degrees according to international agreements or arrangement.
A doctorate is a mandatory requirement for admission to the competition.
Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Crop Systems, Forestry and Environmental Science,
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or BioEcoSystems and BioTechnology, obtained in Italy or
abroad.

Selection process
The examination consists of a conversation to establish the interest in this research area, as
well as verify the experience gained by the candidate. The subjects of conversation are:
Analytical methods as chromatography, mass spectrometry at high and low resolution;
water treatment, filtration and advanced oxidation processes.
