Due to the expansion of the Norfolk Rivers Trust, an exciting new role of Catchment and River Restoration Team Leader has been created. We are seeking an enthusiastic, organised, and proactive team leader to play an important role in over-seeing a range of catchment and river restoration projects which will benefit the water environments of Norfolk (and the Cam and Ely Ouse catchment). Working with an experienced and enthusiastic team, you will lead and deliver projects with partners and funders. We are looking for a Team Leader who has a passion for catchment management and restoring lowland chalk rivers and considerable knowledge within this part of the environmental sector.

The successful applicant will work on a range of schemes and objectives, including delivering Water Environment Improvement Fund (WEIF) projects through the Environment Agency, hosting catchment partnerships, and working with other funders and partners to deliver nature-based solutions to improve the chalk streams of our local catchments. The role will be mainly focused across the Broadland (Bure, Wensum, Yare), CamEO (Lark, Little Ouse and Thet, Wissey) and North West Norfolk rivers. Furthermore, the Catchment and River Restoration Team Leader will work closely with the Technical Director and in-house specialists to oversee and develop specific species work that is being undertaken by NRT (such as White-clawed crayfish and beaver conservation).

The role will consist of leading the team with meeting landowners and contractors, reporting project outputs to strict deadlines, over-seeing the implementation of river restoration schemes and supporting citizen science projects.
