The North Central Catchment Management Authority creates natural resource management partnerships and programs that deliver lasting change.
We are currently seeking an engaging and knowledgeable person to join our Waterways and Floodplain team.
Located out of our Huntly office (near Bendigo), the Project Officer Waterways and Floodplain will be part of a small team undertaking exciting work that supports the CMA to deliver its statutory obligations and works to protect people and property from the impacts of flooding and promotes healthy waterways.
The successful candidate will have:
• A good understanding of floodplain management principles and how they apply to water, town and regional planning issues.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of people
• A passion for the environment, with a tertiary qualification in civil or environmental engineering, town planning, environmental or earth science, natural resource management or a related discipline.
