Join us and you will have the freedom to push boundaries, develop new skills and work on some of the world’s most inspiring projects. We believe that by giving our people the freedom to be creative, we will produce work that continuously redefines quality across our firm. Whatever the role or specialism, our people are passionate about what they do, they believe in our values and are happy to come to work every day. And this is why people choose to work here and stay.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a senior team, project and technical leader to help create opportunities and deliver outstanding projects, primarily in the field of Water EICA and with a growing input into the Energy business through renewables and battery storage.  We are looking for an individual who is a technical expert, passionate about people, the environment and providing an outstanding service to our clients.

You will be an active member of our West Water Group Leadership Team, managing our EICA portfolio and EICA team.  You will be guiding collaborative teams on a wide variety of projects, with a dynamic pipeline of water company frameworks, data centres and energy advisory work. You will play a guiding and suportive role in developing our longer-term strategy for EICA services, linking this to the wider Arup and regional plans and will be empowered and have autonomy to develop and grow this side of our business. You will have the opportunity to make a difference – to Arup, to our staff and to the clients and communities we serve.

Our home offices are based in Cardiff, Bristol, and Winchester.  We enjoy the benefit of ‘Work Unbound’ our policy of encouraging flexible working and supporting a healthy work-life balance. We work closely with colleagues across the UK, particularly, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, and Manchester. As such we welcome hearing from applicants, from across the UK.

Is this role right for you?

We’re looking for a colleague with curiosity, personal drive, and technical know-how. You will be as inspired as we are by the problems we are solving and excited to help clients and lead teams delivering the solutions. Ideally we would welcome candidates with a robust Water and Electrical engineering background. Knowledge of best practice EICA standards as well as team and client facing leadership skills are essential. If you have some or all of these skills and experience and a passion for delivering high value solutions, we’d love to hear from you.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree and Chartered Status;
  • A recognised subject matter expert who keeps a focus on continual improvement;
  • An ability to build, maintain and manage dynamic, long-term relationships within Arup and with our clients and stakeholders;
  • A desire and ability to share knowledge and proactively mentor and manage teams and individuals.
