What is the job about?
In this role you will play a key role in developing and setting into motion our water access initiatives. You will be in the lead to define, assess and refine what the organisation has determined to be the most powerful and viable solutions by utilising the capabilities and resources across all divisions in Grundfos.
To create a solid foundation for the initiatives you will make sure that ideas and concepts are backed by realistic and commercially healthy business cases, market insight and executional ability without losing momentum.
As this is a position operating globally within and outside Grundfos we are flexible with your location.
Your main responsibilities will involve:
- Drive the development process for selected key initiatives across divisions and the water access roadmap in close collaboration with the Water Access Director.
- Develop the business case behind the initiative, considering the resources required to see it through.
- Hand-over of initiatives to divisions and agree on progress, follow-up and support.
- Identify, develop and drive external partnerships to the benefit of specific initiatives.
- Pro-actively source and collect ideas from across the business as well as the market and partners to exponentially drive our impact.
- Drive the maturation of ideas and concepts in the divisions through structured ideation process.
- Serve as subject matter expert to the divisions.
- Represent Grundfos Water Access ambitions in selected organisations, conferences and similar.

What we are looking for
We are looking for a person with a solid understanding of and interest in sales processes and viable business models, who can identify the data needed to qualify ideas and concepts. We need a steady hand to facilitate the maturation from idea to specific initiatives, to manage stakeholders through the process, and to secure the ownership to selected divisions.
You navigate effortlessly in multi-cultural settings and in a global matrix organisation, where collaboration is the key to success. You are purpose driven and have the energy and `can-do´ attitude to pursue ambitious goals.
We imagine that you have;
- a Master’s degree in social sciences, business, economics or other relevant background.
- more than 7 years of experience from purpose-driven sales or management consulting within the energy or water access sectors in developing countries.
- capability to develop technical solutions, go-to-market strategies, new business models and innovation management.
- familiarity with developing and facilitating workshops.
- involvement with strategic project management, partnerships and partnering across sectors.
- proficiency in English.
- availability to travel 6-8 weeks per year.
