About the Role:

The Manager, Program Coordination and Development is responsible for overall program delivery of branch Programs including the South Australian Riverland Floodplains Integrated Infrastructure Program (SARFIIP) including the Sustaining Riverland Environments (SRE) program as well as South Australian Constraints Measures and Healthy Coorong, Healthy Basin Programs. The role is responsible for the development of new programs/projects including identifying and seeking additional funding opportunities and supporting and coordinating program delivery across the various project delivery areas within the branch.

Special Conditions

  • May be required to participate in fire management or associated duties.
  • Some weekend and out of hours work may be required.
  • Inter and intra state travel as required.
  • A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is essential.

Remuneration: MAS3 $124,108 p.a.

Contract: Temporary Contract up to 31/07/2023

  • Accountability for the delivery of a suite of projects totalling approximately $290m.
  • New project ideas and funding opportunities are identified, and proposals developed to secure funding to achieve Agency outcomes.
  • Agreed Agency commitments and responsibilities relating to delivery and risks of funding agreements are effectively managed.
  • Effective relationships and partnerships are fostered with other agencies, the community and stakeholders.
  • Timely and strategic advice is provided to Agency Executives and governance committees.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership and management including strong project management skills and experience in managing complex multi-million dollar government projects.
  • Has in-depth current knowledge and grasp of the relevant aspects of water management in South Australia.
