The Role
Oxfam is looking for Senior Water Quality Testing Laboratory Officer.
What we are looking for
Essential
- A relevant qualification at least at bachelor’s level. Relevant fields include Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or another science discipline; a Social Sciences background will also be considered. Relevant experience and proven ability can substitute the need for formal qualifications.
- At least 2-years’ experience working in a laboratory, preferably managing a laboratory.
- Fluent in spoken and written English and Myanmar
- Proven management skills and experience
- Computer literate (MS Word & Excel, Internet and E-mail)
- Candidates must be methodical, patient and diligent
- Strong communication, teamwork, and inter-personal skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, to be flexible in work areas and to be responsive to changing needs.
- Sensitive to the needs and priorities of disadvantaged people.
- Gender sensitive.
- Willingness to learn Oxfam procedures and to be flexible in tasks undertaken.
- Shows enthusiasm for own and teamwork.
