The Role

Oxfam is looking for Senior Water Quality Testing Laboratory Officer.

What we are looking for

Essential

  • A relevant qualification at least at bachelor’s level. Relevant fields include Public Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry or another science discipline; a Social Sciences background will also be considered. Relevant experience and proven ability can substitute the need for formal qualifications.
  • At least 2-years’ experience working in a laboratory, preferably managing a laboratory.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Myanmar
  • Proven management skills and experience
  • Computer literate (MS Word & Excel, Internet and E-mail)
  • Candidates must be methodical, patient and diligent
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and inter-personal skills.
  • Good listening skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to be flexible in work areas and to be responsive to changing needs.
  • Sensitive to the needs and priorities of disadvantaged people.
  • Gender sensitive.
  • Willingness to learn Oxfam procedures and to be flexible in tasks undertaken.
  • Shows enthusiasm for own and teamwork.
