The Yellow Sub Hydro team is seeking a candidate that specialises in groundwater modelling to support the superstar Hydrogeology team. Our ideal person is proficient in AnAqSim and can confidently program in python to implement additional features / analysis of results relating to groundwater outputs. We’re a small team that’s growing fast, if you’re a good communicator and enjoy the dynamic, hands-on environment that comes with scaling up a company – you’ll fit right in!

Requirements:

BSc qualified (or higher) in Geology, Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Science or similar, or equivalent experience in practice.
5+ years industry experience of geoenvironmental/geotechnical projects.

This is not a conventional business, and it follows that this is not a conventional job opportunity. There will be no neat little box for you to sit in (either physically or metaphorically). This role will be home/remote working in UK with ideal geographies being Wales, Midlands and the Southwest or London and the Southeast. We are willing to consider applications from further afield so don’t let your geography limit your horizons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strong groundwater modelling experience
  • Knowledge of and previous experience with 2D and 3D groundwater flow and transport modelling software
