  • Working closely with the Chief of Party (COP) to provide technical and managerial oversight for the project, including the development and implementation of the project’s annual work plans, quarterly and annual reports, and other requests that may come in from Funding agency/Implementation Partner.
  • Working closely with other team members to ensure that the project consistently employs the values of RTI International, ensures the highest ethical standards, emphasizes the importance of communication and teamwork, adheres to Funding agency/Implementing Partner’s technical guidance, and directly contributes to the attainment of the project’s contractual deliverables.
  • Managing the development, design, and implementation of all component-led interventions, taking place in focus cities.
  • Drafting, editing, and making material contributions to project documents, including but not limited to project deliverables, weekly reports, quarterly and PowerPoint presentations, annual reports, studies, survey instruments, and other operational and Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) – related documentation.
  • Maintaining rigorous focus on the achievement of the Project’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs);  
  • Managing the implementation and coordination of all events, technical forums, conferences, and roundtables.
  • Representing the Project in meetings with the private and public sector stakeholders as requested by the COP;
  • Other duties as assigned on an ad hoc basis by the COP


Minimum Required Education & Experience

  • Master’s degree, or higher, in Engineering, Business administration, Sciences, or a related field from a recognized university
  • Minimum of twenty (20) years of relevant, progressively responsible management experience
  • At least 10 years of professional experience and a proven track record of implementing and/or managing Government / International development organizations’ projects focused on water/wastewater
  • A current professional network in the most relevant ministries and offices of Government at the Centre and State levels is an advantage
  • Demonstrated experience and a proven track record of implementing and/or managing activities focused on water/wastewater

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English is required, knowledge of local languages is an advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple teams across geographical locations
  • Demonstrated exemplary management, communication and interpersonal skills to ensure internal coherence among diverse team members, as well as relations with the client, donors and other stakeholders
  • Great team player and demonstrates openness to feedback
  • Willing to travel within India or outside for extended periods as and when needed.
