Alberta Ecotrust is hiring for a Program Specialist and looking for someone who generates ideas and inventive ways to support Alberta’s environmental community through the delivery of our province-wide programs focused on the conservation and protection of natural ecosystems and watersheds. This role is instrumental within Alberta Ecotrust as we support the ability of nonprofit organizations in Alberta to deliver nature-based solutions to protect, sustainably manage, and restore natural or modified ecosystems while simultaneously contributing to human wellbeing and biodiversity benefits.
Through consultation, collaboration and analysis, the Program Specialist will lead the administration and delivery of Alberta Ecotrust’s nature-focused granting programs and strategic initiatives. Responsibilities also include evaluation, data analysis and reporting of program success measures which in addition to environmental benefits also includes an emphasis on co-benefits. Additionally, the Program Specialist plays a key role in supporting the design of the emergent Alberta Ecotrust Nature-Based Solutions Fund which seeks to diversify and grow the available resources for our work focused on ecosystem protection.
