The Water and Catchments Group (WCG), in partnership with water corporations and catchment management authorities, is responsible for effectively managing Victoria's water resources to meet future urban, rural and environmental needs. 

The Senior Policy Officer will manage and lead the implementation of future management strategies for delivery shares in the Goulburn-Murray and Sunraysia Irrigation Districts and formulate policy options and advice on the highly complex policy issues associated with delivery share and pricing.

Thisposition has a requirement to meet Victorian Traditional Owners on country, which will include occasional overnight travel.

The successful candidate must possess an appropriate qualification in water and natural resource management or an approved equivalent, and also hold strong knowledge of the Victorian water sector and northern Victoria water management arrangements of the Murray Darling Basin Plan.
