announces open competition for the assistant professor position

in the Department of Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal

I hereby declare that I have read the recruitment conditions for the assistant position specified in the open competition announced by the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental Engineering of Lublin University of Technology for the assistant professor position in the Department of Water Supply and Wastewater Disposal and I also agree to the processing of my personal data for the purpose of the recruitment process.



Pursuant to Art.13 par. 1 and 2 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (Official Journal of the European Union, L119, 4 May 2016, p.1), hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”, we kindly inform that:

  • The Administrator of your personal data is Lublin University of Technology headquartered at Nadbystrzycka 38 d Str., 20-618 Lublin;
  • Tomasz Joński has been appointed as the Personal Data Protection Inspector; e-mail – [email protected];
  • Your personal data will be processed by the Administrator on the basis of Art. 6 par. 1 (a) (c), within the scope of generally applicable law regulations as well as an application form, to carry out the recruitment process for the assistant professor position. The legal basis for data processing is your consent;
  • In the case of the decision on the qualification and admission to the competition position, paper-based documentation accepted by the committee shall be forwarded to the Human Resources Department of Lublin University of Technology to carry out the recruitment process as well as to begin the employment procedure;
  • The Administrator shall not share your personal data with any recipients, except for the cases where such an obligation results from generally applicable law regulations;
  • The Administrator shall store your personal data during the recruitment process resulting from the university’s internal legal acts, but no longer than for 2 years from the date of submitting your application form;
  • You have the right to access your personal data content, the right to demand its rectification, deletion, processing restriction as well as objecting to its processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint to the regulatory organ – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office in the case of suspicion that your personal data is being processed by the Administrator breaching the law regulations;
  • Withdrawal of consent to your personal data processing shall not affect the compliance with the law of the data processing, made on the basis of the consent before it has been withdrawn;
  • Expressing consent to the personal data processing is voluntary, however, the lack of consent shall result in the inability to participate in work recruitment.

Eligibility criteria

The competition is open to persons who meet the conditions specified in art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 The Law on Higher Education and Science (Journal of Laws of 2021, item 478) as well as in the Statute of Lublin University of Technology.

Offer Requirements


Qualifications required:

  • completed higher education studies in the field of environmental engineering, specialization of water-works and sewage system or related;
  • PhD degree in the field of engineering-technical sciences in discipline of environmental engineering, mining and energy technology, corresponding to the former discipline of environmental engineering;
  • ability to conduct classes in both Polish and English language;
  • minimum 8-year experience in conducting classes at higher university;
  • documented cooperation with industry in the field of water-works and sewage management sector, minimum 1 year;
  • managing at least one scientific-research project (at university or external);
  • experience in organizational activities at higher university confirmed by functions held;
  • skills in operating the following software: AutoCAD, EPANET, SWMM, WaterGems, Norma Pro, MS Office, MS Teams, Statistica;
  • command of English language;
  • documented scientific achievement: publications and conference presentations including articles in the field of environmental engineering, published in magazines from list A of Ministry of Science and Higher Education;
  • the following competences will be an advantage:
  • – professional permits to conduct autonomous functions in project and/or executive process;
  • – completed pedagogical course or pedagogical postgraduate studies;
  • – additional education in the field of broadly understood environmental engineering, mathematics, chemistry or physics.
