WaterAid is looking for a Policy Analyst – Monitoring and Accountability to play a vital role in our mission to transform lives with safe water, sanitation and hygiene in the world’s poorest communities.
The evidence shows that understanding how a basic services’ sector – like water and sanitation – is performing is central to ensuring it reaches the poorest and most marginalised households and communities. Can you help WaterAid’s programmes strengthen the capability of low-income and fragile states’ national and district monitoring systems?”
On the rare occasions when the poor are asked to state their priorities, access to safe water is frequently put as their highest priority. Can you help strengthen the accountability and responsiveness of governments and service providers to be held to account for their duty to provide water and sanitation services to all?
You have strong critical faculties with an ability to produce and analyse data sets with original insights and abilities to represent complex issues to a range of audiences. You have an extensive knowledge of international development issues and politics. You are an excellent writer. And you are driven in the pursuit of social justice.
We’re looking for someone who will play a crucial role in a team that is leading some of the global debates about providing sustainable water and sanitation services to the most marginalised and excluded communities in the world.
Working with us, you will be entitled to a wide range of employee benefits, such as an exceptional pension fund, medical cash plans, an employee assistance programme, generous annual leave and Save As You Learn schemes, as well as fitness and lifestyle programmes.
Please note: in order to apply for this role you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the UK.
This vacancy will end one minute before midnight on the closing date specified. No recruitment agencies please.
