ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION

The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, aims to promote sustainable private sector investment in developing countries, helping to reduce poverty and improve peoples lives.

South Africa is a water-scarce country with rapid growth of water supply-demand gap from the industrial sector. IFCs Client, a leading multinational supplier of fresh fruit and related products to international markets with avocado operations in Tzaneen in the Limpopo Province of South Africa, embarks on reducing the Tzaneen operations water consumption and ensure local communities and downstream water users have access to adequate quantities of clean water.

IFC is seeking a firm (the Consultant) to assess water availability for the downstream communities and commercial and industrial operations, and determine the extent to which water efficiency and reuse/recycling measures should be adopted by the Client to ensure sufficient water is available to downstream water users.

The World Bank Group now invites eligible firms to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested firms must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among staff, etc. for firms; CV and cover letter for individuals). Please note that the total size of all attachments should be less than 5MB. Consultants may associate to enhance their qualifications.
