The Resolution Project (“Resolution”) is a unique pathway to action for aspiring young leaders committed to changing the world. Resolution identifies and empowers undergraduate students across the globe who wish to launch new social ventures supported by Resolution’s international network of resources. More than 380 Resolution Fellows, in 70 countries and on all six inhabited continents (including across the United States), are working in diverse, high-impact fields such as water, food, sustainable development, education, energy and the environment, equality and empowerment, health and wellness, and humanitarian relief. Supporting our Fellows are over 500 volunteers, a dedicated staff, and dozens of partners from both the public and private sectors. We are now seeking an exceptional intern to join our growing team!


The Program Manager will join a high performing team to help ensure Resolution’s achievement of key programmatic objectives. The candidate must be able to contribute to the innovative growth of Resolution and help manage key projects and processes, but also accomplish necessary administrative tasks efficiently. The Program Manager will take on key responsibilities in implementing Resolution’s first-ever Fellow convening (Solutions Exchange Summit), and post-convening creating a sustainable, replicable conference model for future convenings.  Additionally, the Program Manager will manage the development and growth of Resolution’s online social entrepreneurship curriculum (Resolution Institute). The candidate must have a flexible schedule, be prepared to join meetings and conference calls earlier and later than regular business hours – including some weekends – and be willing to travel.


SolEx:  Solutions Exchange Summit

SolEx will engage all parts of the Resolution community, activating the entire team of volunteers, partners, and staff, to collaborate with and support Fellows in achieving their own and their social venture’s goals for greater impact.

Help manage all aspects of SolEx in September 2018 in NYC.  Specifically:

–   Collaborate with our host partners, MIT Solve, on all event logistics, including but not limited setting the agenda and organizing meals.

–   Assist with the sourcing and securing of speakers, social sector leaders, and programmatic and funding partners.

–   Design and implementation of the convening program, including, but not limited to panels, workshops, networking sessions, keynote speakers, and showcases.

–  Collaborate with Resolution’s development team on securing and fulfillment of sponsorship packages.

–   Manage the selection and registration process for Resolution Fellows.

–   Manage all travel, accommodation, and logistics for attending Resolution Fellows.

After SolEx in September 2018:

–  Create and implement a post-SolEx evaluation process.

–  Building off the first convening experience, create a sustainable, replicable conference model for future Fellow convening.

Resolution Institute

The Resolution Institute is a skills-based training program delivered digitally to Resolution Fellows around the world

–  Collaborate with Resolution’s dedicated volunteer and subject matter expert community in the development and creation of course content.

–  Help build online engaging and interactive course experiences and materials using multimedia development tools.

–  Lead and support multiple course development projects from initiation through delivery.

–  Manage the course pilot phase, verifying that all components of the courses are set to launch and release to our Fellow community.

–  Manage the Thinkific platform used to deliver the online course experience to our Fellow community.

–  Help build a sustainable, scalable, and efficient model for creating online courses and managing the Institute experience for our Fellow community.

–  Work with the team to design and develop the Resolution Library, an online repository of Resolution-vetted resources for our Fellow community.


– Three-to-five years of work or strong internship experience.

– Ability to work with a small, entrepreneurial professional staff and large volunteer team.

– Flexibility in supporting other staff members as needed.

– Extremely organized with meticulous attention to detail and follow through.

– Detail-oriented with strong project management skills

– High level of professionalism with good interpersonal skills to work closely with staff and volunteer leadership, as well as external partners.

– Ability to work with a small and entrepreneurial professional staff; flexibility in supporting other staff and volunteer team members and other functions as needed.

– Ability to handle sensitive information about team members, methodologies, etc. with discretion and good judgment.

– Demonstrated commitment to meeting high quality work standards.

– Self-starter – ability to work well alone and with others.

– Team-player attitude. We are a small group with a ‘roll up your sleeves’ culture, so we are looking for someone who is excited about lending a hand.

– Proficient in Microsoft Office with high level of general computer competency.

– Familiarity/experience with Salesforce or other CRM strongly preferred.

– Familiarity/experience with social media channels preferred; experience with Drupal a plus.

– Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

– Passionate about young people making an impact, and commitment to social change and social entrepreneurship.

– Friendly and outgoing personality, a sense of optimism and enthusiasm, and dedication to teamwork.

– BONUS: Prior experience or background in education, instructional design, user experience design, or design thinking
