PhD student in Flood Modeling/Hydrology (3 positions) via AGU

Mami, FL, US

Dear all,

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Florida International University is looking for three PhD students for the Spring of 2019 (January 2019). The students will work on a NSF-funded project related to smart and green technologies for flood control. The ideal students need to have an outstanding experience in flood simulation (1D and 2D) and watershed-scale hydrological modeling. Experience with forecast simulation modeling (e.g., Quantitative Precipitation Forecasts (QPF))  and global optimization (e.g., GA, pattern search) is a plus.

Please send your CV, GRE and TOEFL (if applicable) scores, brief statement of your academic accomplishments, list of publications to Dr. Arturo S. Leon ([email protected]) by August 15 of 2018.

Best regards,

Arturo S. Leon
