Description: The Department of Ecosystems and the Environment from the Faculty of Agronomy and Forestry, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile is now seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track position for an assistant/associate professor in Water Resources/Hydrology/Watershed Management. Teaching responsibilities include courses at the undergraduate (integrated watershed management and soil, and forest hydrology) and postgraduate level. New courses in Water Resources / Hydrology /Watershed Management areas will be welcomed. Teaching in Spanish is required.

Professional title: For candidates whose undergraduate degree has been obtained in Chile, a certified professional degree corresponding to a 5- year length university program in either Forestry, Agronomy, Engineering, Natural Resources, Geography or other areas related to the position
Degree requirements: Ph.D. degree at the moment of application in any relevant area related to this call, Hydrology, Water Resources, Watershed Management. Postdoctoral experience is desirable.
Background: Demonstrable research experience with successful grant application and publications on peer-reviewed journals of the field. Teaching experience, in Spanish, is highly desirable.
Availability: January 2019
Area of specialization: Required: Water Resources and/or Hydrology and/or Watershed Management.
Desirable: Remote Sensing, Climatology, Soil Science
