Senior Research Associate
UEA has some of the most innovative and highly regarded centres for research in the UK. Applications are invited for the post of Senior Research Associate to undertake research in collaboration with Professor Roger Few in order to drive forward the social analysis component of the multi-disciplinary project ‘Mexico's megalopolis as a model for the key role of watershed protection to sustainable cities’, funded by the British Academy for Social Sciences and Humanities. The overall project combines expertise in the University of East Anglia, Universidad Autonoma de Mexico and Conservation International to determine how endemic grassland and forest can be sustainably managed for water catchment provision in four major urban centres in Central Mexico (Mexico City, Puebla, Toluca and Cuernavaca).
You will be expected to have a relevant postgraduate research degree or equivalent professional experience in social science research on environmental issues, with significant previous experience of independent research and be able to fulfil all essential elements of the person specification.
This part time (0.5 FTE) post is for a fixed term from 11 September 2018 to 31 May 2019.
