The Alluvium Group

The Alluvium Group brings together five organisationswho share a common purpose: to make a difference to the world we live in.

Our five businesses share a collective vision, strategy and a commitment to client service. Our business model is unique and driven by a genuine belief that a focus on technical depth and excellence better serves our clients.
We work together when it adds value, for instance jointly investing in the Group’s R&D program to give back to the industry and to ensure that the latest science has a path to implementation.

As a group we are focused on an enabling culture in order to remove barriers to creativity and encourage people to develop as leaders throughout our industry.

The strength of our group is embedded in the independent business decision making of our company boards and leadership, and the ability of each entity to focus on delivering exceptional work for our clients.
This Call for Expressions of interest is with Alluvium International.

Who we are

Our history
Alluvium was formed in 2006 with a focus on river health management and over time has grown to be one of Australia’s largest and most trusted brands delivering holistic catchment to coast science, engineering and economics. We now employ over 100 staff across the Alluvium Group and have an increasing international presence. Alluvium International was established in 2016 to bring the Group’s expertise to the international market.

Our vision
We solve the complex and systemic challenges facing society and environment in the Indo-Pacific

Geographic focus areas
We work across Asia and the Pacific

Our governance

Independent decision making towards a common strategy
Alluvium International operates under its own Board, enabling independent business decision making, leadership and focus. Yet, we contribute and align to a collective vision encapsulated in the Alluvium Group strategy.
Alluvium International Board members are expected to help drive the growth of Alluvium International within the overall strategy of the Alluvium Group whilst looking for co-benefits across the Group.

The role context

We believe the expertise we have developed over the past 15 years’ is needed to respond to the four most critical environmental challenges facing countries across Asia and the Pacific:

  • Declining water security
  • Rapid urbanisation
  • Ecosystems under pressure
  • Growing demand for resilient systems

Therefore, over the past five years we have been developing our international profile, with more than 27 projects undertaken covering more than 10 countries and nine clients (including the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Asian Development Bank and World Bank).
The basis has been established for the Alluvium Group to expand its international operations, enabling greater impact and influence.
