The New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission (NEIWPCC) is seeking versatile, dynamic, and proactive candidates for an environmental analyst to work closely with the Hudson River Estuary Program (HREP) and the Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve (HR NERR) including project and contract management and supervision of NEIWPCC staff located in New York State. The incumbent will manage the quality assurance workgroup and serve as the official point of contact for all QA matters, including QA training, and coordinates QA-related activities with EPA and other state and federal agencies on behalf of NEIWPCC. Incumbent will assist the Division Director in developing and implementing plans and goals for the department.

The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in environmental science, natural science, public health, earth science, biology, chemistry, or related field. Must have knowledge of and experience with aspects of water quality and watershed management and quality assurance plans and programs. Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills, as well as comfort working in a very collaborative environment required. Knowledge of budget preparation, grants writing and contract management preferred.
