An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Coordinator to manage the implementation of Tearfund’s OFDA funded Emergency WASH and Food Security project in Eastern DRC. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, support, monitor, and coordinate the implementation and reporting for the project, and provide support and advice to a sub-awardee.
You will need proven significant experience of project management including design and roll-out of MEAL tools, budget and financial management, as well as implementation of WASH projects within the relief and development context. In addition, previous experience of having worked with a variety of groups, including local and international NGOs and government authorities and working on projects funded by institutional donors (especially USAID) will be required. Excellent, fluent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French are essential for this role.
The candidate must also be able to work in potentially insecure environments, with remote supervision, to tight timeframes. Applicants must be committed to Tearfund’s Christian beliefs. The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safe-guarding issues.
