WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Manager (Water Resources) in the Greater Los Angeles area(s).
The candidate’s responsibilities will include project management, business development, staff development, and managing and completing projects involving numerous aspects of water resources engineering services with an emphasis on watershed management, green infrastructures, flood resilience, dam, levee, and hydraulic infrastructures, storm water modeling and drainage design, and water infrastructure development. Additionally, this position will require the development and review of technical reports, proposals, contract documents, resources studies, computer modeling, and data analysis. Candidates will be working with state agencies, private clients, and local governments to provide a wide variety of water resources engineering support.

Position Description
Project management, business development, staff development for water resources engineering practices.
Capable of leading project teams to plan and design municipal water infrastructure facilities including conveyance systems, pump stations, flood control channels, water infrastructure resilience planning and design, stormwater facilities and green infrastructures is highly desirable.
Supervise coordination with utility companies on a variety of water, wastewater, drainage, and transportation projects, including the design of utility relocation plans and preparation of associated permits.
Supervise the preparation of contract documents including reports, plans, specifications, details, and cost estimates.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
15 or more years’ experience in technical analysis, project design and management
Client relationship management and project financial management skills
Proven successful project delivery experience for major Los Angeles region water and wastewater agencies
California Professional Engineer registration
Affiliations with professional societies and active industry and community involvement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
