In addition to performing research, the successful applicant will be expected to teach (either in English or Spanish) at the undergraduate and graduate level, thus teaching experience at those levels is desirable. Candidates should hold a doctoral degree from a recognized academic program in the fields of civil, electric, mechanical, chemical, environmental or energy engineering/science, or related fields.

The School of Engineering and Sciences has a special interest in individuals that seek to conduct multi and transdisciplinary research in the broad area of energy and the environment.

Appointment as Associate or Full Professor requires demonstrated sustained extramural grant support and research, and corresponding scholarship achievements. The successful applicant is expected to lead a solid, externally funded, research program with a joint appointment between the Energy and Climate Change Research Group and the Water Science and Technology Research Group.

The resiliency of the water-energy infrastructure
Smart and efficient water and energy systems
Water and energy harvesting technologies
Technologies that enable water and energy circular economy solutions
Process intensification for water and energy applications
Water and energy security
Desired skills and experience
At least 3 years as a teacher in any of these áreas:

Advanced English with 600 points on TOEFL.
