IHE Delft will provide 14 key water professionals from ODA-eligible SIDS* with MSc level education on relevant topics for the SIDS, starting in October 2018 in Delft. The 18 month MSc programmes include 6 months’ field based research, to be conducted preferably on specific problems in the home country of the participant. During the taught part in Delft, extra-curricular workshops will be organised to strengthen the relations amongst SIDS water professionals and to stimulate the building of a Community of Practice.
Academic admission to IHE Delft MSc Programmes may be granted to applicants who provide evidence of having:
- a university level Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field, which has been awarded by a university of recognised standing, comparable in level with a Bachelor degree from a research university in the Netherlands.
- a good command of the English language, if this is not the first language. All non-native English-speaking applicants must satisfy the English language requirements for IHE Delft’s educational programmes.
Work experience in an environment related to the programme is an asset. At least two years work experience is in general preferred.
