The Policy Officer will contribute to the development and enhancement of Victoria’s water market as part of government commitments outlined in its new long-term direction for managing Victoria’s water resources, Water for Victoria. Lead and provide specialist advice on the reform and development of water markets in western Victoria based on an understanding of current water market foundations within both urban and rural systems and existing water entitlements.
The position will require self-motivated and a creative thinker with high level conceptual and analytical skills, capable of tackling complex issues. Your flexibility, team-focused approach and excellent communication skills enable you to effectively work with others. An appropriate tertiary qualification in economics, engineering, science, natural resource management, or equivalent. An understanding of Victorian water resource management is desirable.
This is a fixed term – flexible position for a period until June 2020
